Bedford Supported Living

Bedford, Bedfordshire

  • Private Flats
  • Garden
  • Quiet Location
  • Daily Living Support
Our Supported Living service is set in a quiet, peaceful village in the countryside. All of the residents have their own private flat, and the freedom and responsibility of managing their own home with daily living support. That support can be cooking and cleaning, financial management, or help getting out and finding new hobbies.

This service would suit someone leaving a residential or hospital setting and is looking for a less restrictive home where they can still be supported and receive tailored care. There is a relaxed and calm atmosphere throughout, and people are encouraged to visit the nearby villages to go shopping, take walks through the countryside or go swimming at nearby gyms.

“People were supported to follow their interests. These included activities such as meals out, shopping, having hair and nails done, bowling and swimming. One person had been supported to apply for a job. People had an activities scrap book. Staff had taken photos of them enjoying activities and together they had cut them out and put them in the scrap book with comments to enable people and their families to look back at what they had done. This also allowed people to look at pictures of past activities and choose to do that activity again.”
