September Moments; theme parks & baking goodies

As September comes to a close, we’ve had another month full of special memories, wonderful moments, and plenty of smiles & laughter. Our Consensus in Bloom winners were announced, trips to theme parks, baking yummy treats – here’s some of the amazing moments that have happened across Consensus in September.

46 The Grove

With Macmillan Coffee Morning happening on the 27th September, Alex decided he wanted to get in the kitchen to practice baking a marble cake ready for the fundraising event, and well, the cake turned out DELICIOUS! I’m sure we’ll soon be spotting Alex on the Great British Bake-off with those impressive cake making skills.

Kingston House

At Kingston House the group celebrated Pauline’s very special birthday as she turned 60 – presenting her with a beautiful array of handmade cards to mark the big occasion. Surrounded by friends and family, Pauline had a fantastic day opening her presents and dancing the day away, topped off with a glass of bubbly in her new ‘60’ wine glasses.

And for this months baked goodies chocolate brownies were on the cards – yum.

Perrywood House

Heading to Drayton Manor for a day of fun (and quite a few screams) Adrian & Jo spent the day with Jodie & Linda taking them on ride after ride. After Linda & Adrian managed to get themselves locked in jail, Jo & Jodie decided to go get themselves drenched from head to toe on the Stormbreaker ride – what a day everyone had.

But that’s not the only trip Adrian managed to go on, he also took a trip to London for his annual theatre trip to watch Wicked – which is certainly was! Taking a stroll around Buckingham Palace and shopping till they dropped, Adrian had a fantastic trip making his annual theatre trip memories.

King Edwards Grove

The group at Perrywood House weren’t the only ones to visit a theme park this month, as one of our Central Support colleagues Georgina took a trip to Thorpe Park with Stuart & Aadil from King Edwards Grove. Riding an impressive 9 rides, you can read more about their day out HERE.

Consensus in Bloom Winners

In September we also announced our Consensus in Bloom winners after a summer full of green thumbs, wildlife habitats, and sustainable action groups making a real difference all across Consensus. The judges had a very difficult time choosing this year’s winners because they were all just so wonderful, but without further ado, you can see our champions HERE.

Where every moment matters, we’ve loved seeing all the smiles, achievements, and moments in September across Consensus.
