Who We Are
Our Commitment
From Halloween into Christmas, November was a busy month with many of our services swapping their pumpkins for Christmas tree’s as soon as the clock hit midnight! From bonfire nights to animals taking over Gretton House – November involved…
With Halloween over and bonfire night right around the corner, the team at Ty Hendy decided it was time for another party – toasting marshmallows on the fire pit, tucking into yummy hot dogs and burgers, and dressing head to toe in glow sticks! No matter the event, Ty Hendy are always up for a celebration and spending time with one another.
Raising money for charity, at Harvey Lane one of their fantastic team members Caroline dedicded she wanted to get stuck into ‘Soba for October’ – aiming to raise £300 for a great cause. And thanks to donations from the whole team, Caroline ended up raising just over £450 – a massive congratulations to Caroline on her incredible achievement, and to the rest of the team for their support.
At Gretton House, we first thought they’d gone to the zoo when we received photos of everyone with chickens, rabbits, and even rats – but these furry faces were all invited into their home for an animal fun activity session. Giving everyone the chance to stroke, play with, and make a fuss over the furry faces – their were guinea pigs, rabbits, a chicken called Maggie, a dog called CocoBelle, a tortoise, rats that could do tricks and a bearded dragon called Bernard. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed welcoming the animals into their home, and are already asking when they’ll next be back to visit.
For Peter at Kingston, it was time for a catch-up with his good pal John from local service Blakeney House – having a chat, enjoying some good food, and of course a pint to wash it down with. Supporting friendships to blossom, we hope you both had a lovely time together.
The team also recognised Armitage Day in November, remembering all the lost lives of soldiers. It was an experience to remember, as the team at Kingston have their own soldier (and deputy manager!) Adrian who surprised the group with his uniform – well done Adrian for your service.
We know the group at Perrywood House are always up for getting involved in unique days (World Pyjama Day, World Prosecco Day… the list goes on!), so it was no surprise to see everyone sporting some questionable odd socks as they recognised Mental Health Day. With a few funny looks on their outings, we love to see the fun always flowing out of Perrywood House – all in recognition of an important topic.
A small glimpse of the fun & laughter from across Consensus, we cannot wait to share all the wonderful moments over the festive period throughout December – ugly jumpers and all!
