Who We Are
Our Commitment
Back in 2024, we launched our internal colleague recognition scheme “The Making Moment Matter Awards” to ensure every colleague has the chance to feel recognised for their incredible efforts in their role. Open to every colleague across Consensus, in our services and Central Support office, so far we’ve celebrated 4 rounds of winners who have been recognised with our “Every Moment Award” – showcasing those who have made a difference in their role.
But within those winners, we’ve had some truly stand-out nominations where colleagues go above and beyond to make Consensus a great place to live, and a great place to work. Deserving extra recognition for creating extraordinary, life‑changing moments through exceptional kindness, creativity, and commitment, embodying the very best of Consensus, it’s time to showcase our winners of the “Greatness Awards”.
Celebrated at our annual Leadership Awards, this year we had 3 different categories for the Greatness Awards that encompass the true nature of those nominated;
For those at the heart of the greatest moments at Consensus, say hello to our Greatness Award winners;

Consistently stepping up to support others, we had 2 winners for the Above & Beyond Award; Amber Campbell (Team Leader, The Old Red Lion) & Temitayo Adebanjo (Support Worker, Leofric Villa). Having extraordinary commitment that goes far beyond their role, they ensure every moment matters, even when no one is watching.
Their nominations read;
“Amber also recently took the initiative to create personalised activity plans that helped residents build confidence and engage more fully in daily routines. She also volunteered to cover shifts at short notice to ensure continuity of care, demonstrating her reliability and strong sense of responsibility. Amber is always willing to help her colleagues, share knowledge, and offer encouragement, ensuring the team provides the highest standard of care. Her positive attitude and reliability make her a role model within the service.“
“Temi consistently makes each day better for both his colleagues and the people we support. He approaches every task with respect, kindness, and a genuine commitment- no job is ever too big or too small for him. Temi’s extraordinary sense of awareness, calm response under pressure, and ongoing care for everyone around him truly reflect what the Every Moment Matters award stands for.“
Well done to Ann-Marie McQuade, Augustus Onyejiariri, John Eden, and Olalekan Alaba who were also shortlisted, and with thanks to Compass Recruitment Solutions for sponsoring the award.
Jointly being recognised for the Moments of Meaning award, both Jade Hargreaves (Team Leader, Kingarth) & Shannon Trussler (Team Leader, Strawberry Fields) go above and beyond with creativity and passion to deliver person-centred care that make a lasting difference in the lives of those around them.
Their nominations read;
“Jade has built an amazing relationship with Matty and he had been talking about scattering his grandads ashes for over a year. Matty has ADHD and struggles to make and stick to a plan. Jade planned it for him to go to Blackpool pleasure beach and scatter them there, she asked him with short notice, the night before if he wanted to go. Matty was really pleased and it meant a lot to him and his mum who could not thank us enough. Jade always makes any moment special, whether its singing karaoke at outreach every week or taking someone on the train to Blackpool to scatter ashes.“
“Shannon has taken on the huge challenge of supporting one of our most complex people. Her and the team came up with an idea of being able to get M out more often and the idea was getting his own vehicle with a partition between the driver and him. This took many months of planning and organising but in the end had been extremely successful with M now being able to go out in to the community 2-3 times a week which is amazing. His mum, Dad, Social workers and us at Consensus have noted this massive achievement and thank Shannon and her team for making this possible for MB.“
Well done to Arturas Peikstenis, Chelsea Attridge, Fay Nilsson, Jodie Frewtell, and Nichola Harvey who were also shortlisted, and with thanks to Acute Training Solutions for sponsoring the award.
Well done to our great winners for being at the heart of some of the truly exceptional moments across Consensus.
