March Moments; St Patricks Day, Easter Preparations, & TONS of Fun

March has been a jam-packed month full of fun, laughter, and tons of new experiences & activities across Consensus. From celebrating St Patricks Day to a fun girls night out for the ladies at Gretton House… catch-up on March at Consensus, and embrace every moment with us.

Gretton House

A girls night out, a new volunteering role, and a fancy dress competition – there’s been plenty happening at Gretton House! Taking to the theatre, Lizzie & Kim enjoyed an evening together watching Buffy Revamped. Havign been fans since a young age, they both loved it and made sure to collect plenty of souvenirs and keepsakes from the shop after the show!

And for Katie at Gretton House, we’re all very proud of her for starting a new volunteering position at her local coffee shop. Walking to her job independently, Katie gets stuck in with washing dishes, cleaning tables, and lending a helping hand wherever she is needed. Boosting her confidence, everything is done with a smile on her face, and it’s fantastic to see the progress she’s made.

Not stopping there, Katie also got involved in a Numbers Fancy Dress competition alongside Kim – with Katie donning a 12345 fish alive theme, and Kim being a human calculator! With such fabulous and creative outfits, they both won a £10 voucher to spend at Primark – way to go girls.

89 Hampton Road East

At 89 Hampton Road East, J took a trip to Digger Land to fully embrace one of his passions – diggers! Spending time learning, exploring, and even riding on a tractor and a digger, J had a fantastic time making some special memories.

Corby Supported Living

With wellbeing being a big topic recently throughout Consensus, the team at Corby Supported Living decided to create a positivity wall to encourage the people living & working there to feel positive every day. Being the first thing you’re greeted with as you enter their home, we’re loving the positive vibes being spread throughout.

Deansbrook

Welcoming a new weekly activity, the people living & working at Deansbrook have been keeping fit & healthy with their new weekly workouts! Having a dance & boogie to some music, everyone enjoyed spending time together and spreading positive vibes – making fitness fun for all.

Kingarth

Loving a good pie, it was only right that the guys at Kingarth celebrated Pie Week at the beginning of March! With a good cheese and onion pie being the favourite, everyone got stuck in making their own pies from scratch – and with no crumbs left on their plates, it’s safe to say Pie Week was a hit.

Kingston House

At Kingston House, the crafts & fun are never-ending. From a party for Peter’s birthday with guests from Blakeney House, to creating crafts for all the special occasions… there’s never a dull moment! We’re loving seeing all the wonderful creations that come out of Kingston House, and the smiles on the faces of everyone there – well done to the team at Kingston House for al the beautiful things they create.

King Edwards Grove

St Paddy’s day celebrations were in full swing on the 17th March. With T’s dad being Irish, it was only right that his heritage was celebrated in style – with J baking a cake for the occasion and the group picking out some traditional Irish recipes to enjoy (gammon, colcannon & soda bread were the favourites!). Enjoying a group meal together, it couldn’t have been a proper Irish meal without some Guinness & Fosters to wash it down with, which everyone enjoyed thoroughly.

Perrywood House

At Perrywood they’ve been plenty busy as usual! Celebrating national sleep day on the 15th March, both the people living & working their donned their favourite pj’s, onesies, and dressing gowns for a sleepy day around the house.

Setting themselves a new challenge, Johanna and Lizzy have also started riding sessions at the local stables. Both enjoying the experience immensely, it’s wonderful to see the ladies setting thsemleves new challenges and learning new hobbies.

And the activites don’t stop there… for Adrian & Jo they had a fantastic time attending a new take on Jack & the Beanstalk at the theatre. An adult only production, the play involved the case drinking alcohol throughout the show, with the audience voting for who they wanted to take shots thoguhout! A night full of belly-laughter and quite a few swear words, Adrian & Jo had a fantastic time and are already planning the next one to attend. What a unique experience.

Weston Villa

Jonathon had the most amazing time watching Man United play against Liverpool in the FA Cup Quarter Finals. A match full of suspense and some incredible goals, Man United managed to steal the win at the very last minute – having the whole stadium erupting in celebrations! Smiling, cheering, and getting stuck into the atmosphere, Jonathon certainly made a memory that’ll last him forever.

Frinton House

It was a very special day for Laura at Frinton House, as she celebrated her birthday with all her friends at the local pub. It was clear to see Laura had the best day, and expressed her joy at having everyone come together to celebrate.

Ophir Road

At Ophir Road, M expressed interest in wanting to go out for the day – despite the rainy weather! Respecting his choice, M went out to a local café for a yummy hot chocolate and MASSIVE waffle, covered in chocolate, strawberries, AND ice cream. Having a lovely time out, it was great to see M not letting the weather dampen his day out.

A month full of amazing moments, see all the fantastic photos below from all the activities;
