Looking back on our 2023 Consensus in Bloom winners

Last summer we had fun across Consensus celebrating our annual gardening event, Consensus in Bloom. A chance to tap into those creative sides, the highlight of the summer is much more than just creating a beautiful garden. It’s upcycling furniture, installing water butts, painting plant pots together, baking goodies from fresh produce, crocheting flowers… the list is endless.

Consensus in Bloom is for everyone, and with this year’s event in full swing, we can’t wait to showcase all the incredible talents in September as the event comes to a close. Looking back on the winners from 2023, enjoy reflecting on the wonderful memories with us, and the beautiful creations. All crowned by our wonderful Quality Checker team.

Best Garden – Norwich Road

Grabbing the top spot for Best Garden, we saw Norwich Road crowned as the winners thanks to their beautiful planters, well-kept grass, and creative decorations covering every inch of the garden. Even decorating their mini caravan to make people feel like they’re at the seaside, Norwich Road really worked hard to make their garden a place for all to enjoy. Crowned by Quality Checker Tammy, the group were all smiles receiving their award.

Best Hanging Basket – Perrywood House

Being recognised for a second year running, Perrywood House shined with their beautiful hanging baskets, being presented with their award by Quality Checker John. Taking great care to prune, maintain, and water the flowers, the group really did create a welcoming entrance into their home. And once you step inside, the group had also created an indoor art installation of crocheted flowers to match their hanging baskets, showcasing other creative ways to get involved with the summer event.

Best Home Grown – The Grange

Tomatoes, eggplants, carrots, thyme, rosemary… the list was endless for all the goodies growing out of The Grange’s garden in 2023. Taking saplings to fully grown vegetables to enjoy using in the kitchen, The Grange really showcased what ‘home grown’ produce looks like, and it’s safe to say we’re all eagerly awaiting to see what goodies come out of their garden this summer.

Best Indoor Arrangement – Beech Court

Bringing the indoors, outdoors, Beech Court won the prize for ‘Best Indoor Arrangement’ last year with their funky outdoor seating area. Creating the perfect space for enjoying the sunny weather, we loved seeing the creation on making use of their deck.

Best Sensory Garden – Corby Supported Living

Creating an area of sensory fun and stimulation, Corby Supported Living won the crown for Best Sensory Garden – presented by Quality Checker John. Transforming an area of their garden into a place of relaxation and enjoyment, the team added in wind chimes, beautiful hanging decorations, and tables for sensory activities. Showing how a once unused and tired area of the garden can be rejuvenated into an oasis.

Best Transformation – Rowan House

With bright orange, pink, purple, blue, and yellow flowers covering every inch of the garden, the Best Transformation went to Rowan House, who really went all out to give their garden a make-over. Adding in beautiful floral displays, hanging baskets, and even some outdoor fairy lights to create a magical space in the evening, we can’t wait to see what else has been added for 2024.

Sustainable ideas, decorating fun, and spending moments together making memories, we can’t wait to share our 2024 Consensus in Bloom winners soon, and showcase the efforts of all our services in creating spaces they’re proud of.
