Buckets and coins at the ready, Pool Cottage in Newport certainly went all out in their fundraising efforts for Children in Need. Coming together not only as a home but as a community, local businesses in the area very kindly donated over 50 prizes for the raffle. Alongside other fun activities across the week, here’s what they got up to;
- Injecting fun into every day of the week, from Monday to Sunday everyone got dressed in crazy and cool outfits, including spots, animals, 90’s, and too many wigs to count.
- From Monday to Friday, pens and paints were at the ready for the Pool Cottage Colouring Competition, and bookshelves cleared for the big book sale.
- With eyes down and ink blotters at the ready, ‘BINGOOO’ was heard throughout the neighbourhood in Pudsey Bingo.
- Tuesday brought a special edition of the Great Pool Cottage Bake-off,
- In addition to the bake-off, on Tuesday it was time for dunk the manager. Both manager Andrea and deputy manager Claire took their places on the chair, getting absolutely soaked through.
And thanks to the fundraising efforts, Pool Cottage raised an impressive £336 for charity – way to go everyone! A big special thank you to Courtney and Kari who worked tirelessly on organising all the events and collecting the raffle prizes – your hard work is appreciated by everyone.
