April Moments; Birthdays, Colleague Celebrations & Wildflowers

April has seen rain, sun, and most importantly of all, memories being made despite the weather! From getting in the garden to plant wild flowers to a fancy afternoon tea for the people at Courtwick Park… catch-up on April at Consensus, and embrace every moment with us.

Heather Holmes

As we get closer to the summer months, Heather Holmes have been channelling their sustainability crowns by planting some wildflowers, transforming a once tired area of their garden into a space full of bustling flowers and busy bees! A big thank you to Kim for making the fabulous new sign post as well.

46/48 The Grove

Celebrating Easter a couple of weeks ago, everyone came together for a fun easter egg hunt with family & friends invited. Partying the day away, everyone made wonderful memories (and ate plenty of chocolate!)

Perrywood

It was a very special person’s birthday at Perrywood recently… as Stephen celebrated his 59th Birthday! Spending time with family & friends, the surprises didn’t stop there. Stephen had an unexpected visit from an old Perrywood support worker – Stephen was “chuffed to bits” to see her, and it really made the day extra special for him.

Kingston House

During Kingstons House’s weekly cooking activities, Dawn, Pauline, Susan, Peter and Sally all got stuck in making some delicious blonde brownies! At Kingston House, you can always be sure there’s some yummy foods being whipped up.

Courtwick Park

It was pinkies up and best clothes on, as the people at Courtwick Park took a trip to the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne for a very sophisticated (and yummy!) afternoon tea. Everyone enjoyed some beautiful cakes and finger sandwiches, followed by a stroll along the promenade – what an afternoon.

Bannigans & Holland House

Celebrating colleague achievements, everyone at Bannigans & Holland House is proud to see Elaine reach her 10 year milestone at Consensus! Having a visit from Area Director Ossie, everyone came together to celebrate the fantastic achievement – presenting Elaine with a beautiful orchid, a bottle of prosecco, and some cards. Thank you to Elaine for the difference she makes at Consensus.

STEPS Supported Living

Making everyone’s day, the team at STEPS Supported Living have been starting their journey to adopting the Fish Philosophy with their new recognition board – a chance for colleagues and the people we support to share supportive messages with one another.

Service Manager Lesley shared “It’s so easy to get caught up in stress at work that we forget to appreciate the good parts. Everyone here does such a good job and we want to show that by giving the compliments and recognition they deserve!”

A month full of amazing moments, see all the fantastic photos below from all the activities;
