Charnwood House Achieves Outstanding CQC Rating

“Staff provided compassionate and personalised care as they had excellent understanding of people’s needs, preferences and backgrounds. This helped them encourage people to take part in meaningful activities and work towards their aspirations.”

At Consensus, we believe great care is measured by the quality of people’s lives. At Charnwood House, that belief is brought to life every day, and it’s why the service has been recognised as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Congratulations Charnwood House!

Following their inspection in February 2026, the CQC found that Charnwood House delivers exceptional, person-centred support, with people at the very heart of everything it does.

“I couldn’t be prouder of the team and the incredible commitment they’ve shown over the past year since I became manager. Everyone has fully supported the changes we’ve made, working together to elevate our service to an outstanding level. Achieving an Outstanding rating in my first CQC inspection as a registered manager is something I’ll always cherish. A huge well done to Team Charnwood—this achievement belongs to all of you.”
