Every year, we celebrate the leaders across Consensus who have truly made every moment matter for the people that live and work here during our annual leadership awards.
This year, we were honoured to present Tina Fitzjohn with the Rising Star Award, recognising a new manager who has managed to create a huge impact in their first year as part of Team Consensus. Tina joined Fletton Avenue as a service manager last year and since then has been doing everything she can to support her team to success and find ways to really raise the voices of those she supports so they can influence how she runs the service.
One of the people she supports, Mani, attended the conference the day after Tina won this award and happily announced to the room, “Tina, we love you. I’m so happy to have her as our home manager, give a round of applause for Tina please everyone.” – which truly speaks for itself.
Tina said, “Winning the Rising Star Award was such an honour – and a complete surprise! It’s incredibly rewarding to be recognised, for the focus I’ve put in to driving quality care and achieving full occupancy at our service and it reflects the support I’ve had from the team at Consensus. I’m excited to keep learning, growing and making a difference every day that aligns with the companies values. The highlight of my first six months at Consensus has been working with the team and seeing the positive impact we’ve made – from building trust with families to empowering individuals in our care and developing the service – has been incredibly rewarding. I’m proud to be part of a team – this recognition is shared with you all.”
