Every year, we celebrate the leaders across Consensus who have truly made every moment matter for the people that live and work here during our annual leadership awards.
This year, we were honoured to present two of our amazing colleagues with the Kindness Award, recognising a manager who embodies one of core values by showing kindness not only in the exceptional moments but the everyday too. One of our winners was Emmanuel, who was nominated for his exceptional kindness and warmth, his colleagues always remarking that he truly has time for everybody and will work tirelessly to include everyone.
One nomination said, “Since being at De Parys, Emmanuel has always been dedicated to ensuring the people he supports live their best lives. To be able to learn so much from a manager is truly a blessing. Hs passion radiates and makes a truly strong team of people who can confidently say they enjoy working there.”
And it’s clear why Emmanuel was a winner, when we asked him about his award he said, “Any person here could’ve won this award. My team are so kind and so are my own managers. Wanting to be kind brings us together as people working in care. I’m grateful and proud that I work in a place that recognises kindness as an asset – I’m also proud that this gives some recognition to my own team as it shows that our way of working with compassion and kindness is highly valued.”
