Who We Are
Our Commitment
With October nearing it’s end, we’ve seen plenty of spooktacular events and enchanting memories being made. A place where every moment matters, from the everyday achievements to the extraordinary ones, leap into October Moments and smile at all the heart-warming moments.
It’s been fundraising galore throughout October, with many of our services getting their thinking hats on to raise money for incredible charities (alongside baking some yummy goods too!). At Polwell Lane the team donned their pink robes for ‘Wear It Pink’ day, raising money and more importantly, awareness for Breast Cancer. Inviting local services to join in on the fun and gathering raffle prizes from the generous community, the team raised an incredible £278.96 for charity! Well done Polwell Lane team – for bringing people together to raise money and for an afternoon of fun.
The team at Kingarth continued with the fundraising efforts, where they got their aprons on to bake some goodies, played some fun games, and prepped a tombola to raise money for Macmillan Coffee Morning. And what a day it was, filling Kingarth with lots of fun and laughter, the team raised a wonderful £106 – well done to everyone at Kingarth.
But the fundraising doesn’t stop there, as Ty Hendy also got stuck into ‘Wear It Pink’ day for Breast Cancer Awareness. Dressing themselves (and the home!) head to toe in everything pink, and preparing some baked goodies and drinks, the group invited friends & family together to enjoy the day and raise awareness. Raising a wonderful £134.80 on the day, and with their go fund me page raising a grand total of £225, it’s incredible the amount of effort everyone put in to fundraising for such an important cause.
At Valley House, the home came together for Mental Health Awareness day to open up conversations around mental health, alongside spending time with one another to make memories. Dressing in green, the day was really educational and their were lots of conversations about what helps maintain healthy minds – leading to posters being displayed around the service on little actions that can make a big difference. Handing out cards and superstar certificates to share appreciation for one another, maintaining wellbeing is weaved throughout Valley House.
The team also took some time to recognise Menopause Awareness day – dressing in pink in solidarity of support, and learning more about the menopause.
Zoe enjoyed a weeks long holiday in Corfu recently, ensuring to fit in as much as possible into her trip! Enjoying the wave pool, an incredible trip on a catamaran boat trip, and even learning a greek dance, Zoe had a wonderful time making incredible memories.
There were a few tears shed as our Head of Marketing, Amanda, paid the team at Gretton House before she leaves Consensus for next adventure. Having been to Gretton House plenty of times, everyone was stood waiting at the door to welcome her in and wish her luck on her next big adventure. Presenting her with a lovely handmade card, the thought and consideration from everyone at Gretton House is heart-warming to see.
Recently launching our new values throughout Consensus, each of our services received a goodie box full of items to assist them in really getting to know our new values. And when Joshua spotted the values postcards and stickers, he knew exactly who the first one had to go to! Presenting the creativity value to Aadil, Aadil always goes above and beyond to support the people at King Edwards Grove and will soon be delivering his fitness program across a few of our London Services – way to go Aadil!
At Kingston House, it was a special ladies birthday, as Tracy celebrated her 55th birthday with her family and friends! Receiving a very fitting ‘Party Queen’ mug as a present, Tracy really was the party queen as she boogied the day away. Happy Birthday Tracy!
And finally, Ellie has been showing off her creative talents again (which are always incredible!) by crocheting an Elephant Stacker toy! What an absolute talent.
Now the next big event, Halloween!
