Welcome to Creative Care, Joining Team Consensus

We’re excited to announce the acquisition of residential care and support provider Creative Care, joining Team Consensus. Set up in 2005, Creative Care runs ten residential services across the East Midlands and, like Consensus, Creative Care supports people with autism, learning disabilities, and other complex needs to flourish.

The acquisition comes after another successful year across our organisation, where we prides ourselves on delivering the best quality of life to the people we support through our residential and supported living services across the UK. Named as a UK Great Place to Work® in 2023 and 2024, we were also recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ in four categories by Great Place to Work®: for Women, for Colleague Development, for Wellbeing and for Healthcare.

Creative Care’s CEO, Ian Coldrick, has left the business as part of this transaction and all other employees of Creative Care, including the COO, Ben Blackburn, will remain.

Paula Keys, CEO of Consensus, said:

” I am delighted to welcome the talented and committed team at Creative Care as we expand our services in the East Midlands. We are committed to providing the best support and quality of life for people with complex needs and Creative Care shares our deep commitment to high-quality, relationship-centred support where we can make a difference to people’s lives.”

“I would like to thank Ian Coldrick for facilitating a smooth transition and for all he has done over the last 7 years to make Creative Care the great organisation that it is.”

Ben Blackburn, COO of Creative Care, said:

“This transition marks an exciting new chapter for Creative Care. Consensus shares many of the same values that have always been at the heart of Creative Care, and we will continue to deliver exceptional care under our new leadership. We are confident that our people and our services will continue to thrive and be a success.”

Thank you to our dedicated advisors, namely Acuity Law, Alvarez & Marsal, McBains, and Lockton, whose support made this possible. Congratulations to Grant Thornton for their expert guidance to Creative Care.
