The Heathers is a home where everyone has so much love for animals. Over the years we have had therapy dogs come to visit, cats, rabbits and even miniature donkeys and the smiles and joy this brings gave us the idea to help an animal rescue close to us by arranging a fundraiser event.
We chose to support Lainys animal rescue who dedicate their own time and all their love to animals in need with only the support of the local community helping with fostering and donations. Lainys has helped hundreds of animals over the years back to good health and find their forever loving homes that they all deserve, including Ozzie who was being fostered and in no time was officially adopted by myself.
Everyone was excited to get involved and make this a fantastic day. All the people we support helped with decorations and ideas to ensure everyone had fun, families and friends were all invited to have a great time with us. The local community were amazing and donated some fantastic prizes for our raffle, this proved we are still a nation of animal lovers.
We were all so overwhelmed when we realised we had raised £520.00 for Lainys, the whole street could hear us cheer! It was an absolute fantastic day, full of happiness and laughter and everyone loved the special cuddles from our VIP puppies.
Lainys rescue were truly overwhelmed, lost for words and had tears of joy when we let them know what we had raised to help all the animals they care for, so they bought some cute little paws along to us that they are looking after to say thank you and give plenty of kisses which were very welcomed by all.
A touching fundraiser with the added benefit of cuddling animals all day, we can’t wait to do the next one.
