Who We Are
Our Commitment
Beeston, Nottingham
Trent Gardens is a welcoming new supported living service in the heart of Beeston, Nottinghamshire, comprising seven newly created self-contained apartments designed to enable adults with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours of communication to live independently within their own homes, whilst receiving personalised support tailored to their individual needs.
At Trent Gardens, we believe that every person should have the opportunity to live a meaningful and fulfilling life, with genuine choice and control over how they live, who supports them and what is important to them.
Person-Centred Support
Our highly skilled teams deliver support using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Active Support approaches, ensuring people are empowered to develop skills, increase independence and achieve outcomes that matter most to them.
Positive Behaviour Support enables us to understand the reasons behind behaviours of communication, recognising that all behaviour has meaning. Through understanding each person’s unique needs, preferences and experiences, we provide proactive, compassionate support that improves quality of life, reduces distress and promotes wellbeing. Alongside PBS, our Active Support model focuses on enabling people to participate in all aspects of daily life. Whether developing independent living skills, accessing education or employment opportunities, building relationships or engaging in hobbies and interests, individuals are supported to take an active role in shaping their own lives.
Our aim is to support people to:
• Increase independence and life skills
• Develop meaningful relationships and community connections
• Improve health and wellbeing outcomes
• Access education, volunteering and employment opportunities
• Build confidence and self-esteem
• Achieve greater choice, control and autonomy
