Who We Are
Our Commitment
Say Hello to Charlotte-Emily, our Digital Solutions Lead. They create and manage digital systems for our Learning and Development team, including eLearning, engagement activities, maintaining learning management systems and innovating new ways to help our colleagues learn and grow. After working in digital for over a decade, she joined Consensus three years ago because it just made sense for her – their role is creative but logical, and as someone with Autism and ADHD they knew they could use their own experience to provide expert guidance and make a real change.
They recently led the launch the implementation of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, making online learning and resources to get everyone involved in a project that is so important to her, memorialising the passing of Oliver who lost his life due to negligence and misinformation about Autism in care. And despite eLearning previously being reporting as one of the least popular learning methods, the training achieved a massive 4.6/5 rating from our colleagues.
“I’m working on my combat skills right now and doing MMA training. I’m working on thai boxing, kick boxing and boxing right now and starting Ju Jitsu next year!”
“The Maori word for ADHD is Aroreretini which means: ‘Attention goes to many things’ which is a lot more fitting than Attention Deficit Disorder – I pay attention to everything, I do not have an attention deficit.”
“In 2000 when I was 12, I started my schools first ever girls football team – I love sports, and I used to compete internationally in eventing and show jumping contests (I have the injuries to prove it!)”
“It’s actually much more fun than it sounds. There may be a lot of excel spreadsheets, data, maths and logic involved but it’s also extremely rewarding being able to create a digital solution that works and you can see it benefit everyone. It’s like building an engine, but not for a car, instead for a digital system and when you turn the key and the engine roars is the feeling I get when the you click the button and the system works. I love it.”
“Digital World Domination! Well, maybe one day. For now, my next steps would be gaining all the knowledge & experience to become a Digital Director and empower all of us to be confident with digital tools that can make our lives more sustainable, efficient, and enjoyable! Imagine, if digital solutions paved the way for spending more time & resources on the important things like our colleagues and the people that we support.”
