Macmillan Coffee Morning at 46 The Grove

Across Consensus, we love to see services coming together to raise money for charity and celebrate causes close to people’s hearts. Whether that’s arranging an afternoon to recognise World Mental Health Day, a day of animal fun raising money for the local Animal RSPCA, or celebrating one-another’s heritage and culture, every moment matters.

With the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning being held on the 27th September, the team at 46 The Grove decided they wanted to get their chef hats on and invite all the local services over for some freshly baked goodies and a natter, to make a real difference to the lives of people living with cancer.

And what an incredible morning it was. Joined by King Edward’s Grove and 48 The Grove, the day was full of a celebration of community and raising awareness for a wonderful charity. From everyone’s hard work in the kitchen and generosity, the team not only hit there ambitious target of raising £250, but surpassed it… raising an incredible £336! With a big thanks to Kaylee and Andreea for working hard in the kitchen and home to arrange such a successful event.

Chatting to Kaylee, she shared her delight and highlights of the day;

“We truly enjoyed the company of our guests, sharing music and laughter while indulging in delicious cakes. Geena also had a wonderful time and was delighted to see so many people come together for this important cause.

A special highlight was the visit from Rory’s brother, Sinclair, who shared his heartfelt connection to Macmillan and the vital work they do. Additionally, Rekha Doshi, Deepak’s sister, made significant contributions to our donation page and brought a very special cake to celebrate our amazing morning.”

Bringing people together to make some wonderful memories all whilst fundraising for a cause that is close to many people, everyone is proud of the team at 46 The Grove for going above and beyond.
