July Moments; BBQ's, theme parks, and fun

July’s seen a General Election, a final at the Euros, many tasty bbqs, and day trips out enjoying the glorious sun (when it decides to make an appearance!). Making memories at Thorpe Park, car shows, beaches and more, dive into a glimpse of life at Consensus throughout July.

Beech Court

Paul spent his July in the Scottish Highlands, having a lovely holiday visiting his family and taking in the breath-taking views. Spending his time horse riding, visiting famous landmarks, and exploring the local area, Paul certainly his holiday enjoying every minute.

At Beech Court the team have also been spreading kindness and positivity – handing out appreciation postcards to one another! Sharing lots of reasons why they appreciate one another, the culture of positivity is being radiated amongst everyone.

Kingarth

Despite the loss at the Men’s Euros final, the team at Kingarth had fun in the lead up to the big game. Making predictions, covering the house in England flags, and even sporting some England flag hats, everyone enjoyed watching the game together over a yummy takeaway.

Valley House

At Valley House, there’s certainly been a sparkle in the air with lots of wonderful achievements happening! Not only did the team see Juliet pass her driving test with flying colours, but they celebrated Joshua 5 years at Valley House. And what a better way to keep the sparkle alive than enjoying a yummy ice-cream in the sun with everyone. Enjoying every moment together, Valley House had a fabulous July.

Courtwick Park

Making the most of the beautiful weather, some fish and chips were needed for the guys at Courtwick Park. Taking a trip down to the seafront to have dinner with a view, the team found the perfect spot to enjoy their food and have a lovely evening together.

Kingston House

Our Kings & Queens of baking have had another busy month whipping up some tasty goodies! On July’s agenda were pastry swirls, Biscoff cornflake cakes, and even some gluten-free short bread biscuits.

The group also took some time away from the kitchen to enjoy a few outings, too. Heading out for the day to Woburn Safari, they saw lions, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, bears… and loved every second of it! And also heading to their local bowling alley for an evening of fun and laughter, at Kingston House the fun & laughter never stops.

Aldeburgh House

At Aldeburgh House, everyone also got into the Euros spirit – decorating the house from head to toe in flags, as well as wearing some of the flags as capes! Enjoying a BBQ whilst watching the matches, the whole house has spent lots of quality time together.

Wellingborough Supported Living

Pride month in June led to a very heart-warming event at Wellingborough Supported Living. Due to health deterioration for Tom, he was unfortunately unable to make it to Pride this year – but the team didn’t let this stop him from celebrating. Bringing Pride to Tom, the team organised their very own Pride Party for Tom to enjoy. Decorating every inch for the garden and inviting Tom’s friends round to celebrate – Tom had an amazing day celebrating.

And it truly shows what can help with a sprinkle of imagination and innovation! Way to go team!

Gretton House

For the team at Gretton House there’s been too many activities and outings to count. July included:

  • Clive taking a trip to watch the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. And as a lover of all things classic music, he had a fantastic experience taking in the atmosphere.
  • Adam, Christopher, Andrew, Andrew, and Adam went on a ‘lads day out’ to the transport museum to admire classical cars. The hot pink car was the car of the day, and the men have already been asking when they can upgrade the mini bus to something from the museum.
  • Kelsey celebrated her birthday with bowling & drinks with her friends.
  • Adam, Lizzie, Jennie, and Jamie headed to Thorpe Park for a fun day out. Lizzie & Jennie both completed their goal for the day… riding every single roller coaster.

Enjoying every moment at Gretton House, every day is spent making fun memories.

St Marys Court

At St Marys Court, they’ve been getting into the sustainability spirit by planting their own herb garden – making sure they’re never short on garnish for their evening dinners! Growing their own, the array of different herbs looks wonderful (and is great for cost savings too).

King Edwards Grove

Screams & tummy-flips, it was time for Stuart to renew his Merlin Pass at Thorpe Park and enjoy the thrills of all the rollercoasters with the guys. Joining him for a fun day out, Joshua decided (very sensibly) to stick to some of the smaller rides and explore the other joys at Thorpe Park. And despite Stuart going on the biggest rollercoaster in the park, it was the screams from the staff team which were the loudest, on the ghost train of all things!

For Octavius, he had an incredible experience at Wimbledon watching the tennis.

48 The Grove

Aaron headed down to his local polling station along with many other people across Consensus to cast his vote in the general election. We loved seeing everyone’s photos & videos earlier on in July!

Smiles, fun, laughter – we love seeing every moment spent making memories across Consensus.
