Every Moment Award – happening every quarter, this award recognises the people who really ensure every moment matters at Consensus. From the everyday to the extraordinary, these people have made a positive difference to those around them.

Giving everyone the opportunity to nominate, and be nominated for these awards, we already kicked off our Every Moment Awards in June and are excited to share our first 25 well-deserved winners.

So without further ado, meet the first winners of the Every Moment Awards.

Adrian Smith – Ty Hendy

“Adrian is a key part of the team and everyone loves him. Everyone who lives here always wants to work with him, telling us he is kind, understanding and fun to be around. He’s always willing to support with anything and works tirelessly to make sure everyone we support can do anything they want without barriers. He’s taken a huge lead in keeping Ty Hendy sustainable and we’d be lost without him.”

Kelly Phillips – The Heathers

Emily Ruiz – Frinton House

“Emily is always working hard to create an environment where we work hard and get results, but have fun and feel supported too. She inspires the whole team to be their best and her passion and excitement for what we do always empowers the rest of the team to have that same energy. She is a great manager and offers us a collaborative, creative place to grow and learn.”

Jo Coulson – Learning & Development

“She consistently delivers fantastic training and makes things easy for everyone to understand. She is so supportive, compassionate, and a fantastic listener.”

Julie Toms – Parklands

“Julie always treats people as a priority, whether that’s the team or people we support. She’s reliable, dedicated and so passionate in everything she does.”

Emma Wilson & Louise Mascall – St Marys Court

“Emma is always working hard to make sure the people we support have the best life they can, she’s there for everyone.”

“Louise is my go-to person for anything. She’s dedicated to her job and always learning, but always there to help you, teach you something new or just lend an ear. An amazing role model to us all.”

Jamie Hale – Wales

“Jamie is an excellent communicator, both to her team and to management and her work ethic is flawless. She’s always ready to step up and take responsibility; and is so passionate about developing herself, the service and her colleagues.”

Jordan Jones – Leofric Villa

“Jordan is a perfect example of determination paying off. He took the initiative of transforming our boring yard into something beautiful and usable for the people we support, but took it further and made every choice all about the people we support and their passions.”

Mary Walker – Kingston House

” Mary is extremely passionate about wellbeing, and goes above and beyond within her role of wellbeing coach. She likes to bring smiles to colleagues faces, one example of this is that Mary takes packs of pens with motivational messages on with her on her wellbeing visits, and gives these to colleagues who she thinks would benefit, ensuring she picks a message to give the colleague a boost at the time. Mary really does make every moment matter and always has time to support her colleagues across the whole of Consensus.”

Debra Smith – Windsor Avenue

“We’d be absolutely lost without Debi, nothing is ever too much for her and she is there to support anyone who needs her without any hesitation. We can always rely on her happy, friendly face with a smile to make us feel better.”

Robert Mitchell – Frinton House

“Bob is a champion for person-centred care; he’s dedicated to helping people live happy, independent lives and coming up with creative ways to support people. We could all listen to him talk for hours, he lifts your mood instantly and I don’t think he knows how respected and admired he is.”

Nicodemus Mawerere – Valley House

“Nico is one of those people that will help anyone with anything – whether that’s a member of the team or someone we support. He’s consistent, reliable and goes above and beyond. His patience and calm influences everyone else around him to be calm too. Nico is a valuable part of the team and we wouldn’t be without him.”

Angela McNicoll – Pendle Gardens

“Angela always puts so much time and effort into her role as a keyworker – she’s committed to making sure people live their best life and always have a full and fun activity planner!”

Claudia Chapman – Grammar School House

Elliott Goodwin – Area Director

“Elliott has been a pillar of support, always going above and beyond to ensure that we have the resources and guidance needed to succeed. His leadership and unwavering support have created amazing environments in his area. He thinks strategically about how we can improve but also about our wellbeing and making sure we all have a voice in his decisions.”

Yasmeen Arabay – Kingston House

“At the LD&A Awards night, Yas could see that Tony and Gurveer were dancing quietly in their seats. She’d never met them, she was not the colleague there to support them, but she made sure that they had the best night, boogying the night away together. Her observations coupled with her clear passion for ensuring people get to enjoy what they love meant they had an amazing time. It was a lovely moment to witness, and she made every moment matter for Tony and Gurveer.”

Susan Kudom-Boateng – Stanley Park Road

“Susan is never afraid of trying something new and taking risks. She is an absolute star member of the team and consistently shows up for people. Recently, a new person moved into the service and they didn’t communicate, engage with others or have a good diet. But Susan didn’t accept what she had been told by his previous support workers and worked by his side, at his pace and now his life has entirely transformed. He goes on days out, he eats well, uses communication cards as well as talking to people. Some people would just accept what they’ve been told but Susan never ever gives up on anyone.”

Make every moment matter at Consensus – thank you to all our fantastic colleagues who make Consensus a great place to live, and a great place to work.
