Who We Are
Our Commitment
Sometimes, taking a break from something you once loved is the first step toward finding your way back to it – and that’s exactly what happened for Ellie. With horse riding once being one of her favourite hobbies, she’d found herself falling out of love with it. But recently, with gentle encouragement and support from the team at Ty Hendy, Ellie decided it was time to give it another go, and what a comeback it’s been!
Attending for a few weeks now, Ellie is already loving horse riding again and is even developing her skillset by learning how to jump! What was important to Ellie when starting again was that she didn’t just want to ride – she wanted to learn. She wanted to be challenged, to build her confidence, and to better her understanding of how to care for and handle a horse.
Area Director Lorraine shared just how proud she is to see Ellie back in the saddle:
“To see Ellie have the passion and focus to be riding again makes me so happy, as I know this is something she’s loved for years. Well done Ellie – and well done to everyone at Ty Hendy for encouraging and supporting her to achieve her goals.”
By taking the time to truly understand why Ellie had stopped enjoying riding, the team was able to create a personalised plan to reignite her interest, rebuild her confidence, and set meaningful goals to work towards.
Ellie’s aim (which we can’t wait to see her achieve!) is to master jumping by the end of the year – and from what we’ve seen so far, she’s well on her way. Watch this space!
