The Consensus story began back in 2005, with the mission to support people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs to lead happy and fulfilling lives. We’ve continued to grow, along with the number of colleagues and people we support – inspiring, celebrating, and embracing every moment.

Our Journey

Every day we focus on creating moments to celebrate and memories that last. Here are some of our favourite moments.

Since 2005, we’ve supported hundreds of people to achieve their goals, and to experience both exceptional & everyday moments.

We are one of the leading providers for those with PWS in the UK. In the last 10 years, we’ve supported over 200 people with PWS to lead long, happy, and healthy lives.

In 2022, our longest reigning service, Gretton House, celebrated it’s 40th anniversary.

In 2023 we were recognised as one of the best 'super large' employers in the UK, becoming Great Place to Work® certified, as well as being one of the UK's Best Workplaces for Women™ 2023.

In September 2023, we became certified as a Disability Confident Employer, ensuring we create a workplace that isn’t just equal, but equitable too.

We are 100% compliant with CIW, and have 94% of services in England with a rating of Good or Outstanding.

In 2024, for a second year running we were recognised as a Great Place to Work® and a UK's Best Workplace™ for a Super Large Organisation & Women. We also achieved becoming a UK' Best Workplace™ for Development & Wellbeing too, adding to our accolade of achievements.
