A theatre performance to remember

Taking to the bright lights of the stage, the people we support at Ipswich Central Supported Living have been busy rehearsing their lines and shaking the butterflies in their stomach as they prepared to perform in ‘The Boy Who Built a Flying Boat’ – an inclusive theatre performance that supports people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs to flourish on the big stage, after the success of their previous shows working with the Red Rose Chain.

An incredible experience to remember – 9 months of hard work, dedication, and countless rehearsals led to everyone putting on the performance of a lifetime, where joy, pride, and excitement filled the theatre hall, where it was truly their moment to shine. Attended by local friends & family, everyone who attended loved watching the performance (with not many dry eyes in the house!), and was joyous to watch the incredible progress and achievements of the people we support have made.

Truly showing anything is achievable with support and dedication, the performance wasn’t just a show, but a testament to teamwork, dedication, and the impact of believing in others. And a reminder of what can be achieved with support and hard work. A big round of applause to everyone on their wonderful performances, and to the team at Ipswich Central Supported Living for going above and beyond to support people to achieve their dreams!
