A busy day in London for Lizzie

How many activities can one fit during a day trip to London? We’re not sure, but we’re sure Lizzie may have broken the record! Travelling from Corby to London for a day full of fun & laughter, Lizzie & Deputy Manager Angela had a joyous day together making memories.

And when it came to planning her trip, Lizzie knew the first thing that was going to be on the agenda… Being an avid fan of the TV series ‘Stranger Things’, ‘Vecna’, and ‘Eleven’, when Lizzie saw the play ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow’ advertised, she knew a trip to the theatre HAD to be included. Thoroughly enjoying the show, Lizzie was amazed by the effects and the story, albeit being a bit grossed out by a snapping cat and exploding rat – how strange. Exploring around Covent Gardens, posing for photos, and spending some time purchasing some needed Stranger Things merch, the fun didn’t stop there.

Next on the agenda was a spot of food. Lizzie knew exactly the place she wanted to try, ‘Karen’s Diner’ – famously known for it’s rude waiting staff, where you pay for the privilege to be insulted whilst having a meal! Walking in the door, both Lizzie & Angela were both welcomed with a tirade of insults. And as soon as Lizzie proudly mentioned she was a vegan, she was promptly told to ‘go eat the grass pitch outside’, alongside being presented with a ‘Love Island Reject’ hat. A meal full of insults, banter, and rude sticky notes, Lizzie loved every minute of it, and is much braver than most of us for sure!

Trying new places, exploring Lizzie’s interests; it’s all about making every moment matter.
