Oakwell House is a six-bed modern detached property located in Hayton, an agricultural parish two and a half miles from the market town of Retford. Within the main house we can support 5 people, there is also a single occupancy flat attached which is ideal for those looking for more independence.
Oakwell House provides a holistic and nurturing environment for the people we support. We use a supportive and flexible approach to encourage the people we support to develop their independence and achieve their goals – whether this be gaining employment, volunteering opportunities, seeking further education or travelling.
It is important to us that Oakwell House is a safe, positive and empowering environment, which supports and encourages people to developed their independence skills in a safe environment. The communal garden is often the hub of the home, we enjoy having BBQ’s, parties and charity fundraisers and our door is always open for visitors. If you are visiting in summer, don’t forget to bring spare clothes for a water fight!

We are all one big happy family, and love to have a laugh and a joke with each other. Banter runs throughout the home
